Both editions are the same game. Standard ($79.99) is all you need. Ultimate ($99.99) adds extra cars, weapons, outfits and a few extra in-game shops. If you're new to GTA, Standard is a safe pick. You can't play "more story" with Ultimate.

What's in the Vintage Vice City Pack?
Every copy bought before November 20, 2026 gets it (for boxed copies, while supplies last). It includes:
- a '55 Vapid Stanier retro sedan
- an Ocean Beach garage
- vintage-style outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia
- weapon patterns inspired by Tommy Vercetti (the hero of 2002's GTA: Vice City)
What does the Ultimate Edition add?
Rockstar describes it as "an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story," with new items unlocking chapter by chapter. The store listing includes:
- Vehicles: '95 Grotti Cheetah sports car; Dinka Enduro motorcycle and Crest kayak for Jason's safehouse; a retro build for Jason's Vapid Ganado pickup; a Shitzu Squalo boat; a '67 Vapid Dominator buggy plus the Paradise Garage in Watson Bay; a classic car collection side job from a collector called Wyman.
- Weapons: Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers, and engraved versions of Jason's and Lucia's pistols.
- Style: exclusive outfits, hairstyles and tattoos, and "Goodtime Gear" clothing.
- Extra places that only open with Ultimate: Rideout Customs and One-Eyed Willie's (vehicle mods), Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305 (streetwear) and Electric Fang Tattoo.
- Bonus activity: raid the PTT Youngin$ gang compound for special items.
About the free GTA+ month
Digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+, Rockstar's subscription. Heads up: on PlayStation it renews automatically at the regular monthly price until you cancel, and it must be claimed by March 31, 2027. Set a reminder if you don't want to keep paying.
Physical vs digital
At launch, the boxed version contains a download code, not a disc. So the main reasons to buy a box are gifting or a store gift card. Either way you download the game.
Our beginner pick
Go Standard unless you already know you love collecting cars and outfits in GTA. The story is the same in both.
